Finishing Lines in West Africa – Skateboarding In Africa with Michael Mackrodt Video

Skateboarding In Western Africa
What do you think about when you consider Western Africa? For me, I’m reminded of the missionaries I met that were in the Gambia and Sierra Leone. They were setting up churches and orphanages. They even found a baby in the bushes, abandoned by the parents. It was sad. When they made it back to the United States, they didn’t seem to fit in. They wanted to go back, and that’s my only memory of them. Skateboarding and West Africa is not what I immediately think about when discussing western Africa, but now that I’ve seen “Finishing Lines” I’m thinking that it’s an untapped resource for skateboarding glory.

West Africa Is A Skateboarding Mecca

Skateboarders are interesting in that they look at the streets with a new light. West Africa may be a mecca in regards to untapped resources for concrete and more. In the video “Finishing Lines” Michael Mackrodt takes you on a journey that makes the search for skating in the streets come alive in an all new way. It’s fascinating, to say the least. This changes everything for those that are thinking about pushing and kicking through the spots that are untapped in this locale.

Michael Mackrodt Pushes Through Trick After Trick

Mackrodt’s pushes through tricks, and it’s great to see. Amidst all the skate videos that are coming out, this is the most eclectic in my view. Well, not as isolating as Jordan Sanchez’s Dumpster Part, but it’s still very good. What I like most about this, is that the exotic location that you don’t always see in skateboarding. Even though there are charities that go there, and there are some people trying to fund African skateboarding, you don’t always see new updates from there. This is a great video if you ask me.

Give Back To Skateboarders In Need In Africa

Alright, I’ve led in to this way too much. But while I was looking through some ideas, I ran into Skate 4 Africa. This is a charity that wants to bring skateboards to Africa, and after seeing this video, I want to donate and spread the message about them. So, check out this video, get hyped, and then check out the Skate 4 Africa website after you buy some boards and send them over to them. Seriously, this is amazing, and you can support skaters directly!

Jordan Sanchez Makes Dumpster Skateboarding Creative In This Video

Jordan Sanchez Skates Dumpsters Better Than You
When’s the last time you skated a dumpster. No, really. When’s the last time you were able to go out to a dumpster and just have a ball skateboarding on it, around it, in it, and got creative? Most people look at dumpsters and don’t assume you can do anything. But that’s not the truth. If you are serious about skateboarding, you will find creativity lurking through all corners and avenues. That’s what you will get with the amazing footage that Jordan Sanchez just put out.

Creative Skateboarding Is The Point

One of the things that is lost on the youth of skateboarding today, is creativity. It’s easy to just say that the 1990s were the best times in street skateboarding because of the creativity, but that’s not true. Right now, there are plenty of creative skaters out there, and with the latest dumpster Skateboarding from Jordan Sanchez, you can truly say that there’s a lot of great things that you can do with a skateboard and a dumpster. Don’t think you can skate vert, or can’t barrel down a flight of stairs, don’t worry, this should inspire you to pick up a board and go to work.

Dumpster Skateboarding Is Not Just A Clever Name

What I would like to remind you when you look at this bit of dumpster Skateboarding, is that it’s absolutely creative. It uses dumpsters, and skateboards in such a creative fashion. This is the reason why so many people started skateboarding, because there’s beauty in the world of skating, and it’s sometimes lost in the flood of corporate sponsorship, 12,000-dollar magazine ads and so much more. However, every now and again there comes some great skateboarding, and this is one of them. Jordan Sanchez for Welcome Skateboards puts on a showcase of creativity, even if it is entitled dumpster Skateboarding.

5BORO 5BNY Video Speaks Volumes About The New York Brand – Video HD

5Boro Skateboards - Official HD Video Release

5Boro NYC Really Pushes The Limits With Their Latest Skate Video Release

Are you one of the many that have just got on a board? Or are you older? Wiser? I grew up on the west coast. Santa Monica to be exact. Before it got too expensive to live in, I was skateboarding on the west side, but I was always told that I had an “east coast” style. I didn’t understand what anyone meant, until I moved east. Now that I’m here in Indianapolis, and it’s cold, I know what it means. No matter how cold it is, no matter what people say, I’m skateboarding. Inside, outside, near the dumpsters, anywhere I can get a quick session in, I get one going.

What does that have anything to do with 5Boro NYC? Nothing really. However, with the release of their latest video, I am reminded yet again about the east coast style of skateboarding. What can I say, I think that the team has a lot of style, and that’s something great in regards to skateboarding. Sometimes the skill set isn’t always necessary, sometimes style is better, and that’s just my two cents. I am a skater through and through, but I never had the style of these east coast cats.

If you haven’t really focused on anything from 5Boro NYC, you are missing out. I discussed their boards on this site, and I am proud to showcase their video, albeit from Thrasher Magazine, since I don’t have the connections to get an HD rip for my own. Whatever the case is, here you go, 30 minutes of skateboarding from the 5Boro NYC brand that you should be supporting.

5Boro NYC, act like you know. If you don’t, now you do, here is 30 minutes of skateboarding from the team that is just too good for me to keep rambling about. Watch it, then go outside, unless it’s snowing, then find an indoor park and rip it. Here in Indy, it’s cold, but I’m about to hit the covered parking lot for some tre flips, then going to hit up a secrets pot by some train tracks. But first, one more look at the latest video from 5Boro NYC.

Stoked on the footage? Then support the 5Boro NYC Skateboarding Team by BUYING skate decks here. Each deck sold directly supports skate shops online, and the skaters themselves. Do it!
