Alien Workshop 2019 Fall Skateboard Decks on Sale Now

Away we go, the Area 51 raid is cancelled, but you can get your skate on with these fine boards from Alien Workshop. Of all of the brands that came through the 1990s, one of the ones that I saw a lot of was in fact Toy Machine skateboards and Alien Workshop skateboards. The two companies were putting out cool graphics, and of course, the alien heads is definitely a major player in this. While the company has changed hands several times, and even Rob Dyrdek was in on it, it's nice to see that the company hasn't completely blown themselves out of the water, and we are still getting quality wood from them.

As such, you're going to want to check out the boards that come through from Alien Workshop below. If you like them, you know where to get them, by clicking here, or the buy now button. These are my favorites from the Fall 2019 skateboard series coming out of the midwest skateboard company. If you're a fan of Alien Workshop, then you're going to want to get in on these boards before they get pulled, as you know they are only available at shops or online for a limited amount of time.

5Boro x Dan Santoro Skateboard Deck Series Danny Fall Review

5Boro Skateboards x Dan Santoro Skateboard Deck
Danny Falla’s 5 Boro Skateboards deck from Dan Santoro’s artwork is not half bad. 5boro skateboards puts out some quality wood with this one, featuring a leopard fighting off UFO’s which is so cool. This is a crazy looking graphic, and it fits in with the rest of the theme that 5Boro has. You’ll find that this is a stanadr 7 ply skateboard deck with 5boro skateboards’ graphic design simplicity, and limited edition release. You will want to collect the entire Dan Santoro series of skateboards because they are part of the 5boro skateboards tradition of working with artists and repping New York City. I love it, this is a great deck, what are you waiting for? Christmas? Get yourself some 5boro skateboards and rep core skateboarding.

5Boro x Dan Santoro Skateboard Deck Series McDonald Deck Review

5Boro Skateboards x McDonald Deck
For all two people that follow my blog, you know that I love the work that 5boro skateboards does. They partner with artists, they support their local scene, and they bleed New York City in many ways. I recall Manik Skateboards being that great for the city of Seattle, and really making me want to skateboard a lot more. They are long gone, but you know what? That spirit is alive and well with companies like 5boro skateboards putting out fine decks, including this one from the Dan Santoro art line that they just put out.

This deck features some true Americana and if you’re an American, then how can you not like this one? It’s killer, and well worth putting under your feet. If you’re a fan of skateboarding, then why not pick up something from 5boro skateboards? Oh, this deck is 7 ply hardwood, and it features Dan Santoro graphic design, what else can I say? It’s a solid board, easy to flip, and one that I probably will buy 2 of because I mount them on my walls in my office and other areas of my house.

5Boro x Dan Santoro Akers Deck Review

5Boro Skateboards x Santoro Akers Deck
It’s been a while since I made any commentary about skateboard decks, and well, that’s because I have been busy doing a lot of different things. I am getting a master’s degree, I’m in the Midwest and it’s cold, and well, I have other priorities. But I caught a really cool set of skateboards thanks to 5Boro Skateboards and their commitment to artwork.

They just put out a series of skateboards with Dan Santoro at the helm, and it’s really cool. So I’m going to be talking about 5Boro skateboards, or something, I don’t know, reviewing boards gets old, especially since my tastes are different than your tastes. So if you are a fan of 5Boro skateboards, then you’re going to dig their stuff, as much as I did when I first discovered them.

You can always buy 5Boro Skateboard stuff by clicking HERE and getting some stuff mailed to you.

5Boro Skateboards Cinco Barrios Skateboard Deck Review

Holy crap, they are back! The guys at 5Boro skateboards have really outdone themselves with this one. I love the team, love the skateboards, and really feel that the guys have been doing well in representing New York City skateboarding. As such, they have released this killer deck, and it’s available in two different sizes and colorways. I personally love this particular colorway, as it is very much a Latin American flavor. Mexican, to be exact. Either way, if you’re going to support core branded skateboarding, then you should get yourself one of these 5Boro skateboards.

The 5Boro skateboards Cinco Barrios skateboard deck is available at your local skateboard shop, and online. Maybe even on amazon by clicking here. Not sure, though. Whatever, go skate this deck or put it on your wall like I’m going to do.

5Boro Skateboards Mickey Mouse Running From Cops Skateboard Deck Review

Always Run From Police - 5Boro Skateboards
Ok, it’s not really Mickey Mouse. 5Boro skateboards puts a really cool spin on the classic mouse, but it’s not Mickey. Well, it kind of is, but it’s not. If you look at this skateboard from 5Boro skateboards, you’re going to find that the guys have doodled their way into giving you a bad idea, run from the police. Hey, I’m not going to advocate anything illegal, but I did run in my younger years. I grew up skateboarding Santa Monica, and well, the cops don’t like you hitting the streets or public areas, and you either ran or you were going to be fined or locked up.

With the release of the “Always Run From Police” deck, you get that classic 5Boro skateboards style, with a nod to the mouse that runs the house of Disney. Cool deck, may be a great one for the wall, where it may get appreciated.

Deathwish Skateboards Ellington The Dancer Pee Wee Herman Skateboard Deck Review

The Deathwish Skateboards Ellington The Dancer Pee Wee Herman Skateboard has a very unique painting on it. It’s from an artist named The Dancer, but the image is of the man, the myth, the legend, Pee Wee Herman! Not only that, He’s flipping you off, sucka! It’s so subtle, you’re going to miss it if you don’t look closely. Whatever the case is, this is a great art piece from Deathwish.

Now, in regards to the deck size, this is 8.125 x 31.5 which isn’t that large, and isn’t going to really feel too far away from 8. I like the 8.25 – 8.5 options more often than not, and this is a street classic. There’s a lot of pop on this, with good concave, but it’s more for flip tricks and catching shove-its.

Deathwish puts out quality boards, and this is a combination of art and design. It’s not as high tech as some of the Almost or Black Label ones, but it’s definitely a good option. I like the Deathwish Skateboards Ellington The Dancer Pee Wee Herman Skateboard because of Pee Wee more than anything else. It’s really cool.

You can pick up Deathwish Skateboard Decks by clicking here.

Remember when the big news was that Koston left Girl skateboards?

Everyone was speculating about where he would end up, and as you now may know, he ended up on WKND skateboards. Now, what you may not know is that the first 3 skateboards released from the company all sold out the first pressing.

That's right, the first pressing of the skateboards completely sold out at local shops, online and more. They are now back in stock at your local shop. I live in Indianapolis, and there's no shops that carry these, so tough luck skateboarders here in the Indy area.

Element Skateboards San Francisco Giants For Life Deck Review

Element skateboards puts a spin on their San Francisco Giants skateboard deck in the same way that they put out their Dodgers series. This one has the San Fran logo and For Life emblazoned on the underside. As far as the size is concerned, it’s a slightly different mold, although it does have the 7 layer construction as usual. It has that classic Element pop and concave, and it’s sized at 8.0 x 32.0625. It’s nice for the wall, and it flips well overall.

I enjoyed testing this one out, and really pushed through a few spots that I have here in Indianapolis. This is a strong deck, but felt heavy at first. Once I started to flip it, it didn’t seem any different than the other one, except for the graphic. It’s a solid deck from Element, that’s for sure.

Overall Rating: 8 out of 10

Element Skateboards San Francisco Giants Club Deck Review

Element skateboards once again does it, with limited edition San Francisco Giants skateboard decks. Much like the Dodgers edition, this features the unique Giants logo. The size is 8.25 x 32.25 and constructed with the classic 7-ply style. It’s a solid skateboard deck that has nice concave, and the familiar Element pop. I recall my first Element decks and I changed over from Zero because I thought the board had better pop. It’s a standard skateboard, with some strong pop and nice concave no doubt.

Testing this board, my weight was nice over it, and I found that there was a slight float to it when I tried kick flips. Not sure if that’s my wheels, or it’s my trucks, but it seemed easier to flip this board than it was the Dodgers board. Maybe I was just in a groove. This is another good release from Element, no doubt. I like the size, it’s versatile for sure.

Overall Rating: 7 out of 10

Element Skateboards Los Angeles Dodgers For Life Skateboard Deck Review

Element skateboards, as noted yesterday, has teamed up with the MLB for limited edition Dodgers skateboard decks. With this one, the size is 8.0 x 32.0625, and you know, it feels good. Testing this one out was fun, and the pop again was nice. The concave is classic element style, and the 7-ply construction made for a strong cushion when I dropped off my car hood. If you’re already a fan of Element, then you know the shape well. I liked the 8.0 as much as the 8.25.

The only major difference for this deck is that the graphic says “For Life” rather than just having the Los Angeles logo. The MSRP of this one is around 50 dollars, and it really is a good board if you want to put in on the wall. I don’t mind the shape, and at 8.0 it’s a step up from my old 7.75 line up. It’s a solid deck, no doubt, but it’s for those that are diehard fans of the Dodgers, so it takes off a few points.

Overall Rating: 8 out of 10

Element Skateboards Los Angeles Dodgers Club Deck Review

So you love the Dodgers, and you love Los Angeles? Well, have I got a deck for you. This skateboard deck has just been released from Element Skateboards, and it features the licensing and logo of the Los Angeles Dodgers. I kid you not.

Element Skateboard decks are usually found at core skate shops, and the flagship Element stores that are found at different parts of the United States. With this release, however, it’s size 8.25 x 32.25, and is made of 7-ply construction. For me, this is a solid solution, as I have stopped using the old 7.75 widths because my feet kept slipping. For a wider board, this has good pop, and with the right grip, can definitely allow you to cruise with it.

The overall design is nice, and if you’re going to hang it up on the wall, you got a classic option to go with. However, as far as the Element Skateboards are concerned, you really have to be into baseball for it. I found that the Element brand produces high quality boards, and this is no doubt another good one. The full MSRP is around 50 bucks, but it’s worth it if you need a new board.

Overall Rating: 7 out of 10
