I got a new laptop, so now I can start going back to reviewing skateboard art, and random bs. I also bought an Enjoi cruiser with softer wheels, and it’s a lot of fun to cruise around my apartment complex I haven’t hit the skateboard park, but I will soon. As for today’s look, take a chance at getting the new line up from consolidated skateboards. As I try to create a Consolidated skateboards review, I’m thinking about how they were one of the main companies to be against Nike SB, and yet they didn’t get them to go away. I was anti Nike too, but hey, a new generation came in and we are going to have to deal with the changes, aren’t we? No matter what Consolidated skateboards review you look at, you’re going to have to take into account that they are a core skate brand, and if you support them, you support the older generation of skateboarding, and that’s a good thing. So here we go, 3 Consolidated skateboards review options.

Here we go, 3 new skateboards from consolidated skateboards, and I like them for what they are. They each symbolize the quality of skateboarding and branding that the company has been pushing for a long time. One look and you know what brand it is. You really don’t need to ready any Consolidated skateboards review because, honesty, you either get it or you don’t. That’s where I’m going to leave it, right there.

Bacon Skateboards Review: Bacon Photograph Skateboard Series Decks 

Bacon Skateboards comes out swinging, and it's quite the interesting series for the brand. Bacon Skateboards always put out quality wood, and feature some crazy graphics. However in this case, they put out options that are photographic, and are somewhat more akin to something that Stereo Skateboards, or Element Skateboards would put out. This is definitely a good option to pursue, and something that you will want to pick up. I picked up a series of these decks, since I'm the only idiot in Indianapolis repping Blind and Bacon for some reason.

With this series of skateboards Bacon skateboards puts together a good set of wood that is going to help you get into any mini ramp, pool, or street course with relative ease.

Bacon Skateboards Spicy Adventure Series 

Bacon skateboards comes at you with another great deck. This skateboard deck is part of the "Spicy" Adventure series, and I for one love it. Here's a little throwback to a classic horror and science fiction classic, the Island of Doctor Moreau. At least that's what I think about when I see this one, but of course, you could see this in a different manner. I like it. The series is a throwback to classic pulp fiction and things of that nature.

Bacon skateboards has great decks, they are made of hard wood, and they are often wider than the most average of street boards. I ride vert a lot with them, personally. This is part of a great visual design series, and Bacon skateboards is a top notch board company from the Pacific Northwest. This is a great board, and one to collect or like me, ride.

Bacon Skateboards Spicy Adventure Series 

Oh snap, Bacon skateboards unleashes their "Spicy Adventure" series with another classic design. This time around you get a little throw back and a knife in view. If you have seen the rest of the decks, and I know you have, if you follow this site, you are going to love the noise that is coming out of the Northwest from these guys. Bacon has done something really cool, and if you want to ride them, or collect them, the boards are collectively good, and impressive to say the least. Bacon skateboards has released a nod to pop culture, pulp fiction, comics, and horror all in the same breath.

The board itself is good, has great concave, lightweight, and strong. It's more of a hesher style if you ask me, but it works for street. I usually can't land every trick, but with the boards from Bacon, i've been able to do a lot more than usual, and I think it's the wide widths that they have, but maybe it's cause I ride a lot of Bacon. Who doesn't love Bacon? Another great board.

Bacon Skateboards Spicy Adventure Series 

Bacon skateboards has released another classic deck if you like me. This time around they mix the old vintage pulp magazines, horror focus, and much more. Bacon Skateboards "Spicy Adventure" series once again focuses on throwing together some stellar graphic design, and a board style that you would expect from the Bacon company. Bacon skateboards out of the Pacific Northwest again does well with their boards. This one gives me a King Kong or black and white horror movie, science fiction throwback.

The boards themselves, are quality, hard wood, good concave, and easy to pick up and ride. It's lightweight, strong, and I for one use them more for vert than I do for street. However, if you like street, Bacon has you covered with another quality skateboard deck.

Bacon Skateboards Spicy Adventure Series 

Bacon skateboards once again comes through with something fascinating for me. They put out a series of skateboard series called "Spicy Adventure", and well, here's the first one that I saw, and was absolutely getting, because it has a very cool art style. The deck features a serpent lady coming up and controlling those that are looking her way, and the Bacon Skateboards logo is on it. This seems like it's straight out of a pulp comic book from the 1960s. I love the art direction here.

As for the skateboard deck itself, it's what you'd expect. It has rock hard multiple ply construction, good concave, and your standard street skateboard style. I do notice that Bacon boards are great for more than just street skateboarding, though, as I use it on a mini ramp, or rather use theirs on mini ramps a lot, as they usually come a little wider than most. However, this is great.

Girl Skateboards Mouse Skateboard Deck Review

Girl Skateboards has been putting out quality wood for a long time, and today, they’ve once again put forward a great option. This time around you’re going to see that they are throwing back to their original VHS release of “Mouse”. If you recall that video, it was one of the better street skateboarding videos to come out at the time, and it was a classic before it ever got the bestseller status. If you were looking for something tech, Girl had it, and they did it so well. Even today, Mouse is an incredible skateboarding video.

But what about the board? Well, Girl Skateboards here puts together a good deck for collectors, or for anyone that is looking for 7-ply wood construction, good pop, and nice concave. It’s the overall good Girl Skateboard branding, and of course, a throwback too. It’s strong, it’s light, it’s Girl Skateboards, what do you expect? I love the throwback here.

So we come back to another skateboard from Girl Skateboards, and this time around you’re going to find that this time around it’s a Jaws Parody skateboard deck from Girl Skateboards! This has the classic Jaws logo, but it has the Girl logo and the girl swimming. If you recall the classic horror film, then you already know what you’re going to get when you purchase this skateboard.

As far as the tech specs, this is a good board with 7-ply wood, good concave, a nice pop, and strong graphic design. If you’re already a fan of Girl Skateboards, then this is a welcome addition to your collection or one that is going to give you the same progression that you usually get. Well, here’s a skateboard that goes back to the world of girl’s early days, with the gold fish skateboard deck that reminds us all of the classic skateboarding video that introduced the girl skateboards team into something new.

Another Brophy deck on display here, and it’s more artistic than other boards from the Girl Skateboard company. I’m used to seeing a lot of attention on the literal girl log, and it looks like something you’d see on the front of a bathroom somewhere. With the release of the Brophy Man Eater skateboard deck, you get a croc eating the Girl skateboards logo, and it’s something that is definitely worth looking into overall.

Girl Brophy DC Comics Painting Skateboard Deck Review

You may have already seen a lot of skateboards coming through from the Almost collaboration with Warner Brothers and DC Comics. However, you’re going to find that Girl Skateboards also had a few collaborations with artists that seemed to have comic books on the mind. That’s what you get with this pro skateboard deck for Brophy, another team member from the Girl crew, and it features a bit more art than the average Girl skateboard deck.

As far as the type of board, it’s 7 ply rock hard maple, pressed, sealed, and with good standard concave. You can’t go wrong with Girl, and the graphic is cool, until you rub it off from board slides, right?

Flip Tom Penny Cheech and Chong Skateboard Deck Review

The twentieth anniversary of the Cheech and Chong skateboard deck from Tom Penny is now available from Flip Skateboards. If you grew up in the 1990s, then you already know about this. Back in the day,

I don’t think that Flip Skateboards asked permission to use Cheech and Chong’s license for this. Thanks to new licensing, Flip was able to get officially licensed decks, which is awesome. With the Flip Tom Penny Cheech and Chong Skateboard Deck, you’re going to get the original graphic with a twentieth anniversary logo on it.

The Flip Tom Penny Cheech and Chong Skateboard Deck is 7.75 x 31.63 and the concave is massive on this one. I like that for flip tricks, but the pop is the next big thing on this deck. I remember the original, and it’s similar to this.

It’s a great option for those that want art and style with their decks. It’s classic, it feels great, and flips easily. This is a pure street deck, just so you know. Great update from Flip Skateboards.

Dogtown Loose Trucks Aaron Murray Skateboard Deck Review

I’m always glad to see Dogtown skateboards in the wild. I recently saw that they put out a couple of photo skateboards. The Dogtown Loose Trucks Aaron Murray Skateboard Deck is a 8.5 x 32.75 deck that is perfect for street and vert skateboarding.

This is the widest deck that I’ve rode, and it’s fun to work with. Anything bigger than this, and you may not want to ride it in the streets, unless you’re bombing hills.

The Dogtown Loose Trucks Aaron Murray Skateboard Deck has the classic popsicle 7 ply format. It has a good overall pop and concave, and it will get you through what you may do most. It’s a solid skateboard deck with decent curves, and a classic photograph.

You may want to put this one on the wall, as I will. If you’re from the West Coast and aren’t supporting Dogtown skateboards, then you should, or don’t, what do I know? The Dogtown Loose Trucks Aaron Murray Skateboard Deck is a classic deck, which won’t last long, I’m sure.

Dogtown Loose Trucks Eric Dressen Skateboard Deck

The Dogtown Loose Trucks Eric Dressen Photo Deck is a new deck I just spotted. This is a skateboard deck is 8.25 x 32.5 and is a perfect size for street boarding. It’s interesting to me, because I know Eric Dressen. He would come to this bowl my friends and I put up in Santa Monica. He broke our bowl. We had a complete bowl, he whipped around the thing and launched himself onto a brick wall nearby, then threw himself back in. Our jaws dropped, but so did our bowl.

With the release of the Dogtown Loose Trucks Eric Dressen Photo Deck, this is a classic skateboard deck that features a picture of Dressen doing a killer wall ride, most likely at Stoner or some other school. As for the pop, and concave, this is a great overall deck, made for speed and made for street. I love it. If you’re a fan of Dogtown skateboards, then this is a great one to consider.

Zoo York Skateboards Daniel Scales Genesis Part HD Skateboarding Video

Daniel Scales just made me a believer with his part for Zoo York skateboards. This is Scales' "Genesis" part. He has put on a showcase of pure talent, and dedication to the sport with this clip. Don't sleep on Zoo York's skateboarding right now, the team is killing it, and they keep putting out quality boards and clothing. This is a great part, check it out and support the company if you'd like.

Zoo York Water Color Liberty Skate Deck Review

Of all the skateboarding companies that have made it big, I feel that Zoo York still maintains a lot of their graphic design elements. They still push modern skateboarding, even if the team is not like it once was, and there are a lot of people rocking their clothing, etc. Whatever the case may be, they have a new series of decks that feature different New York staples done in water colors. This is the Zoo York Water Color Liberty Skate Deck, for instance, and it’s 8.5 x 31.875 and it’s an instant classic if you’re from New York City.

The Zoo York Water Color Liberty Skate Deck is a good overall shape, with the classic Zoo York concave and hard wood pressing. I’ve always liked the rounder edge that comes with the Zoo York decks, but that’s just a subtle taste element that you may not even notice. Once gripped, this board rocks, and it’s easy to work with if you’re usually skateboarding on a 8.5 deck.

The Zoo York Water Color Liberty Skate Deck is out now, and it’s a good board for the art, and the streets, if you know what I mean.
