This is a crazy looking graphic, and it fits in with the rest of the theme that 5Boro has. You’ll find that this is a stanadr 7 ply skateboard deck with 5boro skateboards’ graphic design simplicity, and limited edition release. You will want to collect the entire Dan Santoro series of skateboards because they are part of the 5boro skateboards tradition of working with artists and repping New York City. For all two people that follow my blog, you know that I love the work that 5boro skateboards does. They partner with artists, they support their local scene, and they bleed New York City in many ways. I recall Manik Skateboards being that great for the city of Seattle, and really making me want to skateboard a lot more. They are long gone, but you know what? That spirit is alive and well with companies like 5boro skateboards putting out fine decks, including this one from the Dan Santoro art line that they just put out.

This deck features some true Americana and if you’re an American, then how can you not like this one? It’s killer, and well worth putting under your feet. If you’re a fan of skateboarding, then why not pick up something from 5boro skateboards? Oh, this deck is 7 ply hardwood, and it features Dan Santoro graphic design, what else can I say? It’s a solid board, easy to flip, and one that I probably will buy 2 of because I mount them on my walls in my office and other areas of my house.

It’s been a while since I made any commentary about skateboard decks, and well, that’s because I have been busy doing a lot of different things. I am getting a master’s degree, I’m in the Midwest and it’s cold, and well, I have other priorities. But I caught a really cool set of skateboards thanks to 5Boro Skateboards and their commitment to artwork.

They just put out a series of skateboards with Dan Santoro at the helm, and it’s really cool. So I’m going to be talking about 5Boro skateboards, or something, I don’t know, reviewing boards gets old, especially since my tastes are different than your tastes. So if you are a fan of 5Boro skateboards, then you’re going to dig their stuff, as much as I did when I first discovered them.

Holy crap, they are back! The guys at 5Boro skateboards have really outdone themselves with this one. I love the team, love the skateboards, and really feel that the guys have been doing well in representing New York City skateboarding. As such, they have released this killer deck, and it’s available in two different sizes and colorways. I personally love this particular colorway, as it is very much a Latin American flavor. Mexican, to be exact. Either way, if you’re going to support core branded skateboarding, then you should get yourself one of these 5Boro skateboards.

Always Run From Police - 5Boro Skateboards

Ok, it’s not really Mickey Mouse. 5Boro skateboards puts a really cool spin on the classic mouse, but it’s not Mickey. Well, it kind of is, but it’s not. If you look at this skateboard from 5Boro skateboards, you’re going to find that the guys have doodled their way into giving you a bad idea, run from the police. Hey, I’m not going to advocate anything illegal, but I did run in my younger years. I grew up skateboarding Santa Monica, and well, the cops don’t like you hitting the streets or public areas, and you either ran or you were going to be fined or locked up.

With the release of the “Always Run From Police” deck, you get that classic 5Boro skateboards style, with a nod to the mouse that runs the house of Disney. Cool deck, may be a great one for the wall, where it may get appreciated.

Brooklyn-based illustrator Dan Funderburgh drew up some amazing decks. These are artistic, have good concave, and just impresses the hell out of me. Of all the skateboarding brands out right now, 5Boro puts on a showcase of art.

5Boro Skateboards Went To Guayaquil Then Galapagos - Skateboarding Dream Video

One of the coolest thing about the 5Boro NYC skateboards team is that they get to go on some insane trips. I'm just a guy sitting in an apartment in Indianapolis, while these guys are going around the world. Case in point, the recent trip that Red Bull went on with the 5Boro Skateboarding guys.

This folks, this is why I want to be a pro skater, and work with skateboarding. This type of trip is something that I cannot do in any other profession. I'm starting a skate brand, just to do crap like this.

Here we go, another 5Boro NYC skateboard. This one is part of the Moto Series that I talked about a few days ago, or weeks, not sure. Anyways, this is a classic old school edition, and one that you no doubt are going to want to buy as part of the bigger set. A Day With 5Boro NYC Video - East Coast Skateboarding

An oldie but goodie, 5boro nyc is featured in this clip from Transworld Skateboard Magazine. I've been a big fan of 5boro nyc. I'm in the midwest these days, so I lean towards east coast skateboarding companies and smaller companies at that. But ever since I was in Seattle, I loved the work these guys were doing. There are a lot action going on with 5boro. If you have been following the brand like me, you know that they are putting it down for NYC. I hope that I could one day start a brand that has as much classic art and design that 5boro has. I can only dream though, I don’t have any money, or a job aside from writing these stupid posts. Anyways, 5boro skateboards has a set of decks that I know you’re going to love, because I am in love with them. They feature La Virgen de Guadalupe in skate form, and Spanish language elements throughout.

If you haven’t seen the 5boro nyc stuff at your local skate shop, then you should consider going online and picking them up before they are gone. I for one plan on picking up all 3 of these, as I’m Mexican and I love the classic design that is on these. 5boro is one of my favorite companies for this reason. They just seem to put out classic artwork on their decks, and well, the pop is good.

5Boro Akers Dirt Bike Deck 8.5 x 32 Review

5Boro is coming out swinging with their latest skateboard decks, and this one showcases one of the best options they have. This is the Willy Akers pro model, and it features a dirt bike, with classic 1980s throwback colors. Now, if you’re a fan of the NES game Excitebike, then you already know what I’m thinking. As far as the 5boro skateboards decks are concerned, they have quality pop.

This one is 8.5 x 32 and isn’t too heavy, but has some nice concave. I was able to kick it nicely, and can testify to the strength of the build. I liked the colorway, and the 5boro team decks never let me down. I previously featured some decks from 5boro nyc in the past, and stand by the fact that they are really good at what they’re doing out of NYC.

Overall, this colorway is not half bad, and it’s a little different than what other companies are putting out right now in skateboarding. You can definitely see the quality that goes into the 5boro line up, and this is just one of the many solutions they are putting out right now.

5Boro McDonald Snowmobile Deck 8.125 x 32 Review

Alright, for those that like to split hairs, you’re going to like the subtle change that comes with this 5boro board. As far as 5boro skateboards are concerned, this is another instant classic in their motor series. I really appreciated the colorway difference between this one and Akers dirt bike option. This is more colorful and once again goes back to the 1980’s style, even though it says 1996 on the colors.

The deck is made of 7 ply hardwood, and is quite good overall. Again, the concave and pop are good overall, and you’ll have no problem flipping this. I like the slight length difference between 8.5 and 8.125, giving you just enough clearance to land some sketchy kickflips and what not.

Overall, the 5boro McDonald Snowmobile is not half bad. It’s a nice deck in the series, and has a good overall pop. I actually prefer this option to the larger set, as this is somewhere between my normal size and a vert cruiser for me. Although, you may want a different option for what you’re doing. Either way, this is a quality deck.

5boro skateboards has come out with a new edition of skateboards for summer, and they are kicking. One thing that I’ve appreciated about the board line up since I was younger is the attention to the core street style of the boards. 5boro nyc has been putting out a great deal of wood for some time, and despite other companies falling out of favor, these guys continue to shock me.

If you’re going to pick up skateboard decks, make sure that you take a look at 5boro skateboards. 5boro skateboards are high quality, and come out of one of the meccas of skateboarding today.

5Boro NYC Really Pushes The Limits With Their Latest Skate Video Release

Are you one of the many that have just got on a board? Or are you older? Wiser? I grew up on the west coast. Santa Monica to be exact. Before it got too expensive to live in, I was skateboarding on the west side, but I was always told that I had an “east coast” style. I didn’t understand what anyone meant, until I moved east. Now that I’m here in Indianapolis, and it’s cold, I know what it means. No matter how cold it is, no matter what people say, I’m skateboarding. Inside, outside, near the dumpsters, anywhere I can get a quick session in, I get one going.

What does that have anything to do with 5Boro NYC? Nothing really. However, with the release of their latest video, I am reminded yet again about the east coast style of skateboarding. What can I say, I think that the team has a lot of style, and that’s something great in regards to skateboarding. Sometimes the skill set isn’t always necessary, sometimes style is better, and that’s just my two cents. I am a skater through and through, but I never had the style of these east coast cats.

5Boro Skateboards In Paris Skateboarding Video

I’m late on this, but hey, I can’t always be on top of everything that gets pushed out, as I’m just trying to find stuff to share with others. Anyways, I posted up some 5Boro Skateboards earlier, and wanted to complement that with a video from the 5Boro Skateboards team. That being said, this is a little older, from last year, but it’s the team skateboarding through Paris, France. I’ve always wanted to go there and skate, but alas, my skate career has me writing for a living, and not necessarily hitting the streets as hard. 5Boro Skateboards x Monica Kim Garza

5Boro Skateboards pushed through a very unique collaboration of skateboards. This is with artist Monica Kim Garza. Garza is an artist that has a very unique style, and the 5Boro Skateboards series reflects that. These decks are unique, one of a kind, and most likely limited edition. This is the kind of artistry that Manik Skateboards used to do a lot of, before they fell. I’m hoping that 5Boro skateboards continues this type of collaborative effort, because it truly is a beautiful thing to see. Unfortunately for you readers, I had to censor the images because of Bloggers TOS, but you can get the uncensored graphics and more online or at your local skateboard shop.

This release from 5Boro Skateboards is called the “Caliente” series. Monica Kim Garza is an artist that paints curves, and it’s evident here. You should seriously look into the artwork she produces, it’s impressive to say the least. These skateboards are just the beginning.
